A workshop on the development of Capacity Building Plans (CBPs) under Mission Karmayogi was conducted from 31st August to 2nd September 2026 at the Netaji Subash Chandra Administrative Training Institute (NSATI), Kolkata. The workshop witnessed participation from 112 nodal officers and representatives from across 51 departments of the Government of West Bengal.
The workshop marked the completion of Phase-II of the CBP development process, covering the remaining departments of the State. It commenced with an overview of the Mission Karmayogi, the significance of Capacity Building Plans (CBPs) in enabling departments to systematically identify competencies/requirements and align capacity-building interventions with the roles, responsibilities of their respective personnel.
This was followed by a hands-on session on the CBP development process, which enabled participants to practically understand the various stages involved and initiate the preparation of their departmental CBPs based on the identified roles, responsibilities, activities and competencies.
CBC encouraged the need for creating Capacity Building Units (CBUs), completion of all CBPs with respect to departments and corresponding directorates. Focused on driving course consumption to build a future-ready, competency-based civil service across the Government of West Bengal.
The workshop also discussed UNNATI Portal, as well as the Karmayogi Kartavya Karyakram and its state-wide implementation process.
